Meeting with Allen Cox
Residents of TimberCreek should have received a letter from Allen Cox and a reply from the Property Owners Association.

The letter invites TimberCreek residents to a meeting to be held at the Daphne Civic Center on Wednesday June 2nd at 7pm. Note the timing - a day after the elections - see the previous entry for what our Baldwin County Commission hopefuls have to say about the issue.
People can of course make their own decisions on the content of the letter but to me, not reading too far between the lines, it looks like the message is "let us build the service road or we will build lots of low quality cheap housing in your neighborhood and then let's see what that does to the value of your golf course residences". I hope I am proved wrong but I think it is vital that as many residents and supporters of TimberCreek attend this meeting as possible and that we stick to our objection to the service road and any associated commercial development surrounding it.
The rollercoaster ride continues....
See you there.
Update 5/30: Some people are talking about not attending the meeting - I think this is a huge mistake. Allowing the money men and the politicians to do their deals without us knowing was what got us in this mess in the first place. It is our duty to keep ourselves informed with what is happening in our Neighborhood, City, County, State and Country.
Again, consider the timing of the meeting. By the time we hear what the plans are the County Commissioners will know their fate at the ballot box; if they have been re-elected they won't need to care about our thoughts for another 4 years, if they know they are on their way out they will be looking to secure their futures in the private sector. Fact: Mr Cox and other representatives of TimberCreek Land Co have made contributions to at least one campaign fund in the last 12 months - make of that what you will.
We must not give in.
