I-10 Service Road - Coming to your neighborhood...
Who voted for Bob James?
Sorry yet?

It's time to rally the troops again.
We need to get as many people as possible to the Baldwin County Commission meeting on Wednesday November 10th (8.30am).
Get there early and sign up to express your opinion about agenda item IA26.
And seriously, they checked the box that said "no previous Commission action"? Try reading this time line for all the previous Commission action - including the most important one when the commission voted NOT TO BUILD THE ROAD..!!!!!
And where exactly is the money coming from?
Why should I attend?
If you're not convinced yet, consider this:
In the Red Corner:
Frank Burt and his new buddies Tucker Dorsey and Bob James.
Mayor Jo Bonner of Spanish Fort who has written to the commission asking them to build the road.
Mayor Fred Small of Daphne who supports the service road and made over $1,500 of in kind contributions to Bob James' campaign in May 2010.
Daphne Planning Commission member Larry Chason who was a member of Bob James' PAC and contributed $500 on 3/2/10
Daphne attorney Jay Ross who contributed $250 to Bob James' campaign on 4/20/10.
In the Blue Corner:
You, the tax paying resident of TimberCreek, Lake Forest or Daphne who is going to suffer property devaluation and destruction of the local wetlands.
Your Neighborhood needs you!
Seriously folks, be there - it may be your last chance.
P.S. POA Meeting Wednesday evening (5.30). Will the Magnolia 9 get a conservation easement?

Ian:
Thanks for being the Town Crier and letting us know that the new County Commission has attempted to sneak one on us. I trust that Timber Creek residents realize that the "service road" will cause their property values to decline and cause an environmental night mare in their beautiful subdivision. And to the Lake Forest folks. Get ready for more flooding and erosion as it flows off the "service road and into Lake Forest. Hopefully someone in Lake Forest will ring the warning bell.

Mr. Walters and this article are right on target. While the I-10 interchange with Hwy 13 is needed, the service road is NOT and should not be funded. ALDOT does not support this service road. All of us need to show up, be adamant in opposition, and do everything possible to defeat these commissioners as soon as we can.
