The County is $178 MILLION in debt.

When you voted Straight Republican (or didn’t vote at all – shame on you) you probably thought that you would be safe from the Federal woes in “Fiscally Conservative Baldwin County.”

Less than 15% of the population of Baldwin County actually voted for Messrs. Burt, James & Dorsey but those are your Commissioners for the next 4 years. 

The first acts of the new Commission?  To re-pay the special interest groups that backed them through reduction of building inspection fees, reducing road permit fees, redirecting $150,000 of budgeted money to special interests and by building an unbudgeted $9 million Road to Nowhere that no sane person could justify and only greedy property developers want.

Fiscal Conservatism? 

Spending other people’s money until it runs out and taking away from the middle classes to give to the rich - sounds like a bad case of Liberalism to me.

They came first for TimberCreek,

I didn’t speak up because I didn’t live in TimberCreek.

Then they came for Lake Forest,

I didn’t speak up because I didn’t live in Lake Forest.

Then they came for Loxley,

I didn’t speak up because I didn’t live in Loxley.

Then they came for me,

And by that time no one was left to speak up.

Don’t leave it too late; our problems will soon be your problems if this Commission is allowed to overturn decisions, change project scopes and spend money it doesn’t have.
